My boyfriend's dog got hit by lightning a few weeks ago, during a really bad electrical storm. It had gotten out and went and sat under a tree in the back yard..the lightning got the tree and the dog. Poor thing didn't survive, and the tree is now missing a few branches and a bunch of bark.
